Calling all Ladies! Hone your photography skills in a supportive, all-women environment as we venture to Red Rock Country. For three days, this sorority of women will explore the beauty of Sedona and Verde Canyon all the while building a learning community of creative women photographers. Through a combination of interactive discussions, working sessions, and image reviews, we will learn how to create one-of-a-kind images that will make viewers, editors and buyers' heads turn. After a early morning photography presentation on day one, we will travel north to Clarkdale where we will climb aboard a fully-restored vintage train that will transport us back in time and across twenty miles of the unspoiled landscape of Verde Canyon. Along the way we will enjoy photo ops of the meandering waters of the Verde River, the canyon gorge, historic tressil bridges and ancient ruins tucked in the towering cliffs. After disembarking from our railway journey, we'll venture to Sedona for a sunset shoot at Red Rock Crossing before enjoying a late night dinner and memories of the days events. Morning will find us exploring the rippling waterfalls and swirling pools at Slide Rock State Park, where we'll focus our attention on creating soothing images of this favorite Oak Creek Canyon photo spot. After lunch we head out on a back-country Jeep tour climbing up the red rock buttes to the picturesque locations of Bear Wallow and Soldiers Pass. Here will practice our photo techniques, mastering our cameras and capturing a stunning sunset overlooking Sedona. Day three will give us promise of two more fabulous locations and an extensive classroom session to critique our images and openly discuss topics specifically related to being a creative, successful female photographer. After taking in our last photo opportunity at Bell Rock in late afternoon we will head home to Phoenix to bid our farewells to our new friends.
